Robby Graham is the Artistic Director of Southpaw Dance Company at Dance City. Combining b-boying (breaking) techniques with contemporary dance, Robby has created a unique dance vocabulary and his pioneering work is toured nationally and internationally. To date Robby has created a wealth of outdoor touring dance work including the hugely successful Faust; Carousel, and the large scale spectaculars, Rush and Wordplay. In 2010 he was commissioned for the Place Prize. Robby has performed, taught and choreographed around the world, including at the Royal Opera House in London, in Rio Di Janeiro, and New York. In 2015 he was a Hip Hop Second Round Judge, for BBC Young Dancer of the Year. Most recently, Robby was Movement Director for Marianne Elliott’s acclaimed production of Angels in America at the National Theatre.
Originally from The Netherlands, Regina commenced her studies at the Jazz Department of The Theatre School, of Amsterdam and completed her professional training at The Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, where she was also Rehearsal Director. Since then she has worked as a freelance choreographer, teacher and dancer, working with dance passionistas of different backgrounds ages and abilities. Regina was rehearsal director for Itzik Galili's A Linha Curva, has danced with artists such as Bill T. Jones in New York and Truus Bronkhorst
Amsterdam, amongst others. She founded The Audition Workshop (TAW), a two day workshop where young dancers and established dance artists meet and exchange. TAW guests include Hofesh Shecter Company, Dance City, Newcastle CAT programme and degree.
