Fertile Ground are celebrating St Lucia Swedish Festival of Light

Come along to Fertile Ground’s Annual Fundraiser on December 6th 2017, celebrating the glorious St Lucia Swedish Festival of Light. Relax and mingle to music, dance and surprises whilst indulging in some festive Swedish treats and spiced wine.

Hosted at Dance City – Social Space NE1 4BR, welcome speeches will commence from 5:00pm with a live performance at 5:30pm. After the performance, you’ll have the opportunity to taste some traditional treats and network with a glass of wine…or two! The event finishes at 7:30pm and is free however donations are welcome.

Fertile Ground the North East’s contemporary dance company employing some of the most talented graduates in the region. The company performs and gives workshops here and internationally.
Looking to 2018 we announce our annual fundraising event Saint Lucia; enjoy music, dance and some surprises and of-course partake of Swedish festive treats! 4.30 -7.30pm Wednesday December 13th Dance City.
Next up in 2018 FULLY GROUNDED a double bill of gritty and exciting work based on the theme of borders and barriers real and imagined between people and cultures.

During The Leap 2017  led by dancers Emma Palmer and Lerato Mncube we worked with 151 children and young people who performed to 398 family, friends and teachers!  With thanks to Sir James Knott Trust and The Joicey Trust for their support.
